Odissi Dance

Dance is an integral part of any culture. In India, there are numerous forms of dances, classified as either folk or classical. Odissi is a classical dance form that originated in the state of Odisha. Earlier it was performed in front of Jagannath temple, later spreading to other rituals. It is a dance drama where either a story or spiritual message is presented through dance.
